The Bevelling Machine type FF is available in 3 different models: Selection of the model is based on the specific application.
All the FF series models have an oscillating Grinding Unit which is positioned on a heavy support and can be tilted to adjust the bevel angle.
The material removal rate for the FF type machines is - depending on the tensile strength of the alloy - up to 80 cm³/min. All three models can handle material up to a thickness of 60 mm.
Bevel Pro type FF1
Bevel angle 0° to -60° - This unit grinds the piece from the bottom side.
Work pieces move on conveyor rollers along the stationery Grinding Unit.
Bevel Pro type FF 2
Bevel angle 0° to 75°; This unit grinds the pieces from the top side.
Work pieces move on conveyor chains along the stationery Grinding Unit.
Bevel Pro type FF 3
Bevel angle 0° up to 60°; This unit grinds the pieces from the top side.
The Grinding Unit moves along the stationary table holding the work pieces.
This model is available in a table / grinding length of 1500 and 3000 mm (“UKF light”)
Bevel Pro type FF 4
Bevel angle 0° up to 60°; This unit grinds the pieces from the top side.
The Grinding Unit moves along the stationary table holding the work pieces.
This model is available in a table / grinding length of 1500 and 3000 mm.
Unlimited process length because of C-shape side frames.
In a modified version the FF 1 is used to grind Holland Profiles in shipyards to manufacture a precise bevel-geometry for the Laser-Hybrid-welding process.
This model is equipped with 2 grinding units creating a bevel including 2 angles in one pass.
To remove primer and other contaminants in the welding area additional grinding units can be added.
