Double Sided Automatic Belt Grinder type BKK 2

The BKK 2 is capable to process 2 corners parallel per cycle.  The machine bed is equipped with a fixed grinding unit and a movable grinding unit.  The latter is adjusted in position according to the work piece width.

The width adjustment can be either manual or automatic (data storage in the SIMATIC S7 PLC) or fully automated by measuring devices.

The Belt Grinding Units of these machines feature vertical travel for parts of 650 or 1250 mm lengths in combination with angular positioning between 0° and 90°.

The electro pneumatically controlled pressure tool applies evenly adjustable pressure to the grinding belt to control depth of material removal.  Depending on the requirements,  rigid, flexible or pendulous pressure pads are configured.

All parameters like travel distance, angle position, number of passes and the grinding pressures are controlled by a PLC: SIMATIC S7.
