Rigid Bed Portal Grinding Machine type SPB

 

At the SPB the workpieces are placed on a rigid machine bed and the grinding Unit drives on rails over the workpiece.
Depending of the automation level the feeding can be realized by chain or roller feeding systems.

The Grinding Head is positioned on a portal which rides on rails beside the machine bed. Different Grinding heads are available and the movements can be controlled by a SIMATIC S7 PLC.

 

 

 

Applications:

Weld seam removal on concrete frame work frames, racks and machine stands.
Primer removal on ship board wall in defined lines
Surface grinding on steel slabs and billets.
